El grupo BarlowGirl que se compone de las hermanas Alyssa, Lauren y Rebecca han anunciado que se retiran de la escena musical y que lanzaran una ultima canción el 30 de octubre llamada "Hope Will Lead Us Soon", también anunciaron que este 29 de octubre harán una entrevista online en vivo para todos los fans en donde responderan preguntas, tocaran algunas canciones en acústico y harán la premier de la nueva canción, podrás ver la entrevista e interactuar con ellas aquí: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/barlowgirl-live.
Varias bandas han anunciado en los últimos días su separación o cambios importantes en su alineación, sin embargo, esta es una de las noticias que mas tristeza nos da ya que estas chicas han estado presentes con su música desde hace 10 años, siendo una de las bandas mas exitosas en todo ese tiempo, lanzando hits y sorprendiéndonos con su talento y sus excelentes canciones.Aunque su ultimo álbum fue lanzado en el ya lejano 2007, sus canciones siguen sonando en las radios y en nuestras mentes.
El retiro de BarlowGirl se da, ya que las tres hermanas sienten en su corazón que Dios las esta guiando por una nueva dirección y están de acuerdo en que necesitan hacer un gran cambio en sus vidas.

To our amazing friends and fans,
This has truly been an interesting year for the three of us. We have spent most of the last three years writing songs and searching for inspiration. As a part of that season, we’ve also been seeking direction and a new plan for what God has for our lives. In the midst of this journey our songwriting times turned less and less into songwriting and more and more into God speaking to us about His new plans for us. And the outcome is that God is gently leading us in a new direction. The three of us really feel, and all agree, that the Lord is leading us to make a huge change in our lives and we want you to be the first to know about it.
After much prayer and counsel we have decided that we are retiring the band BarlowGirl. We don't know what God has in store for us...He hasn’t revealed that yet. But in all this we know -- He is guiding us to move forward in our destinies and He is faithful no matter what! We are so excited for this new season because we serve an amazing God.
We want to thank you all for your support over the last 10 years. We are truly grateful for this part of our journey with you. We are not sure where our path will lead from here but these last 10 years have been sweet ones that we will never forget. Thank you all for being a huge part of our lives. We will miss you all.
