El día de hoy 1 de febrero Hawk Nelson ha comunicado que Jason Dunn vocalista y fundador de la banda abandonara la banda apartir del 6 de mayo siendo este su ultimo show con la banda, Jason se incorporara de lleno a su proyecto en solitario "Lights Go Down" proyecto que empezó a anunciarnos desde el año pasado y con el que ha empezado a grabar las canciones de su primera producción desde inicios de enero 2012.
A continuación te presentamos de primero la publicación que ha presentado la banda en su facebook y luego la nota que realizo Jason Dunn en su facebook. Con esto Dan Biro serà el ùnico miembro original de la banda desde su fundación en 2003 y notablemente cambiaran muchisimas cosas de la banda.

"We want to officially announce that Jason Dunn will be leaving Hawk Nelson at the beginning of May to pursue his solo career.
"For 10 years we have climbed this mountain together. Hawk Nelson has gone through thick and thin, challenges and blessings. Jason is a brother, and we will miss everything he brings to the band. We know that God has a plan for him as well as for the future of Hawk Nelson. We're excited to share about the future of Hawk Nelson very soon, and we constantly give God all the praise and glory."

"Dear Hawk Nelson faithful,
As most of you have heard the news, May 6, 2012 will be my last show with Hawk Nelson in Norcross, GA. It has been such an amazing journey and I will really miss playing music with my friends, yet I'm very excited for my future as Lights Go Down. This was not an overnight decision. I've been thinking and praying about this decision for almost 3 years and by no means does that make it any easier. I wish my friends in Hawk Nelson the very best with their future endeavors and ask for all of you to keep us in your prayers.
I want to personally thank each and everyone of you for supporting Hawk Nelson. A lot of you have been with us since day 1! You are so incredible!! I hope to cross paths with you all again in the near future!!!!
